There is a battle raging on this planet right now, as we’re all aware. But it’s not between the liberals and the conservatives, or the people and the billionaires, or good and evil. It’s a battle between the light and the dark, just not in the way we’ve been taught to think of them.
Truly, every villain is a hero, not only in his own mind, but also to those who support him or her. And every hero is a villain to those who don’t support or believe in them.
Beneath it all, at the heart of it all, is a battle between Love and Fear, for when you get right down to it, those are the forces behind all else, the true polar opposites.
I’ve been getting a lot of messages from spirit that it’s time to fight, that the people must take back the power from those who are abusing it, and will continue to abuse it (and us) until we do. That we’ve reached a critical juncture.
But this is not a call to arming ourselves with guns or pitchforks. This is not a call for violence of any kind. You cannot slay the dark with darkness. Only light can do that.
So how does this revolution take place, if we’re not supposed to take to the streets with our pitchforks?
First, I’m not saying there’s no place for standing up, speaking up, protesting. There definitely is. The key, however, is to do it in the most powerful way, using our strongest weapon — a weapon that can’t be seen and is powerful beyond measure, though perhaps not quite for the reason you might think.
Let me explain a couple of underlying truths. First, this is a vibrational universe. The vibration you send out is what you will attract into your life. Second, the very highest vibration is love. The very lowest is fear. All emotions are gradations of these two. Beneath all anger, hatred, judgement (of self or others), is fear.
If you strongly disagree with that last statement, I get it. At one time, I’d have been the first to bristle. “I am not afraid of them. I’m not afraid of anything. I just…[insert defense of choice — I don’t agree with them, like them, approve of what they’re doing, because how can anyone approve of that, etc.?]”
I’ve come to understand fear in a different way, to see it for what it is. And what it is, basically, is our ego’s attempt to maintain control. Those in power who would control and manipulate us are using it in much the same way, because fear, in any form, keeps us small.
So what is this magical weapon that’s powerful beyond measure? It’s simple. It’s Love.
“So,” you might be thinking. “You’re telling us to just chant, “Peace not War” like a 1960’s hippy, and do nothing?”
Actually, no. What I’m suggesting instead is that you take a step back. A big step back and look at all of this from a higher perspective. Because no matter what you’re afraid of, if you are feeding the energy of Fear, you are at war with the light.
“But, what they’re doing is terrible!”
This is a vibrational universe, remember? If you are focusing on all the things that are going wrong, and worrying about all the things that might go wrong, or if you’re railing against those who are doing things you don’t agree with, judging them, judging others for having supported them, you are strengthening the vibration of fear, not love.
“But how can I think of anything else?” you ask. “Everything is so awful!”
Is it? In this moment, is it really? In this moment, as you read this, are you in danger? (If you are, then stop reading and run!) Or are you safe, fed, warm? Is the sun shining, or perhaps there’s a gentle rain falling on the flowers outside. Perhaps your pet is curled up at your feet. Or you’re on your way to the job that pays your bills.
If you take a few moments and focus on the now, instead of catastrophizing the future, can you find peace? For just a second? And in this momentary peace, can you, maybe slightly, feel the breath of the divine? Of Source? Of a higher power who loves you unconditionally? Or, at the very least, a universe that is not out to get you?
“Okay,” you say. “So maybe I can accept that not everything is terrible in this moment, but you can’t expect me to love them all. How could anyone love everyone?”
But you know the answer to that. If you buy into the Jesus story, you know what he would say. If you remember (please remember) that you are a Source energy being, and so is everyone else, you know what Source would say.
All are One. The Earth plane is merely an experience in consciousness. Eight billion human experiences in consciousness for Source. From the perspective of our souls, there is nothing that serious going on here.
“So,” you snap. (Maybe you’re too sweet to snap, but you want to snap. You really, really want to.) “Does that mean we’re just supposed to ignore what they’re doing to our country, to our world? We’re supposed to just ignore all the terrible people who are threatening us?”
This is a battle, don’t get me wrong. But it’s not a war against them, whoever they may be. This is a battle between Fear and Love.
How do we wage it? How do we win? By releasing the fear, first and foremost. By remembering that we’re all one. That we are One consciousness. One.
“But…I’m me. I’m just a human. I’m not…”
God? But you are, actually. Or rather, God is pretending to be you. The whole game of Earth incarnation is that we forget who and what we are before incarnating. The idea is that we will then remember, and what a joy that remembering will be!
It hasn’t worked out very well for most of our ancestors. The game has been a bit of a failure, in that sense, although it has provided unparalleled opportunities for growth and expansion through the intense contrast of these lives we all live here.
But this is a different time. Humanity is actually awakening at a dizzying rate. But awakening is just step one. Releasing the fear in order to embody the love that we truly are—that the One is in its purest form—is a journey.
Essentially, it is the journey.
The battle that must be waged is the battle against our own fear.
The light flickers within every human heart, but is often masked. Remove the fear and the light shines brightly. Walk into any darkened room with a lamp and you know that the dark cannot survive in the light. It is really that simple.
However, releasing the fear, much of which is deeply subconscious, and often ancestral, is not. This is where the work lies. But the energies on the Earth at this time are greatly supportive of this work. And there are many of us — more every day — whose mission it is to help you, whether through our words, our meditations, or our healing practices.
In the meantime, stop feeding Fear. Turn off the news. Stop reposting the ‘terrible things they’re doing’. Stand beside those who you’ve been told to hate. Or simply offer smiles and kindness to all, especially those who are not like you.
If you’re inspired to run for office, or to actively help those who are being increasingly disenfranchised, do that…if that desire is coming from a place of love, not fear. Dig deep to determine why you’re doing this, or anything.
Any action taken from a place of fear strengthens fear, no matter how selfless it might look on the surface. Any action taken from a place of love strengthens love. Globally, yes. Even universally.
But also, what you focus on, you draw more of to yourself. You are a magnet. Fighting against what you don’t want will only draw more to you of that which you don’t want. And before you panic, know that fear-based thoughts manifest much more slowly than love-based. Their vibration is lower, more dense. Their movement is sluggish in comparison to higher vibrational, lighter thoughts. So if you just can’t stop worrying about something, don’t panic that you’re doomed to live it. There’s often plenty of time to work through your fears and release them, before it gets that far.
Also, realize that each of us came into these lives with pre-loaded challenges for ourselves, experiences that we intended to have. Not everything that seemingly goes ‘wrong’ in your life is your fault. Not at all.
Find your inner passion from a place of love. Spread love, not fear. That is the way we fight this battle. That is the way we win. And yes, I mean all of us. All of us together.
When Love wins, we all win.
